Who won Tuesday's presidential debate?

The problem with evolution is not that it is unscientific but that it is routinely taught in textbooks and in the classroom in an atheist way. Textbooks frequently go beyond the scientific evidence to make metaphysical claims about how evolution renders the idea of a Creator superfluous. Here are some examples that are drawn from my recent bestseller What’s So Great About Christianity.

Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson writes in his widely-assigned book On Human Nature: "If humankind evolved by Darwinian natural selection, genetic chance and environmental necessity, not God, made the species."

Biologist Stephen Jay Gould writes in his essay in the book Darwin's Legacy: "No intervening spirit watches lovingly over the affairs of nature...whatever we think of God, his existence is not manifest in the products of nature."

Douglas Futuyma asserts in his textbook Evolutionary Biology: "By coupling undirected, purposeless variation to the blind, uncaring process of natural selection, Darwin made theological or spiritual explanations of the life processes superfluous."

Biologist William Provine writes, "Modern science directly implies that there are no inherent moral or ethical laws...We must conclude that when we die, we die, and that is the end of us." Evolution, Provine has also said, is the "greatest engine of atheism."

In his essay on "Darwin's Revolution" in the book Creative Evolution, Francisco Ayala credits Darwin with proving that life is "the result of a natural process...without any need to resort to a Creator."

Some Christians seek to counter this atheism by trying to expose the flaws in the Darwinian account of evolution. This explains the appeal of "creation science" and the "intelligent design" (ID) movement. These critiques, however, have not made any headway in the scientific community and they have also failed whenever they have been tried in the courts. Continued...

Subject: wow, this thread grows fast
K I wrote this huge post and realized I only have 2000 characters so summing it up.

1. nobody is free from beliefs. Being an atheist doesn't mean you test neutral in the belief area. Just means you are a humanist or materialist or some other Ist. But everyone infers some purpose or worth or belief from our mythology, whether we are oooz or planted by aliens or created from dust.

2. This website may be out to crush the left wing and teach ID in school, but my beliefs don't have to be put into law, or taught in schools to be any less valid or true.

3. I think there have been some metaphysical claims in Bio-text books, that honestly don't belong there. Its like saying "1 + 2 = 3" and then throwing in - "and therefore Nascar sucks" afterwards. It's rediculous for my biology book to make claims about God and not back them up.

4. PRE-CAMBRIAN EXPLOSION
The reason scientists claim the earth is 7 billionish years old is cause if we wait for nesesity to drive invention, we have to make the earth older and older. But most of life showed up around the same time, Not very long ago. Darwin even mentions in orgin of the species that this is something he hasn't figured out.

In essence,
My Biology book better talk about Jesus too before it makes claims about God and then changes subject. Also the Fossil record tree looks like this { instead of this <

That's what common descent is all about. The fossil record is evidence."

My reponse:
After lonestarblues spouts quotations from false theories and theorists, he states his punch line. He thinks that we are accepting his blather instead of laughing, he doesn't know that we are laughing. The fossil record is evidence of the fact that a fossil was found, and nothing else. A theory is just a theory until that theory finds something that the theory predicts, or an experiment results in evidence predicted by the theory.
