The Club for Growth is hounding Blue Dog Dems for taking leave of their campaign promises, their fiscal responsibility, and their senses on the same day.The Club specifically singled out freshmen Democratic Representatives
Nancy Boyda (KS-2); Heath Schuler (NC-11); Nick Lampson (TX-22); Tim
Mahoney (FL-22); and Harry Mitchell (AZ-5) who won their House seats on
a campaign to restore fiscal responsibility to Congress and cut out
earmarks. Instead these politicians caved to political pressure,
throwing American taxpayers under the bus on their way down. You gotta love the slobbery AP lede:A sharply divided House voted Friday to order President Bush to bring combat troops home from Iraq next year, a victory for Democrats in an epic war-powers struggle and Congress' boldest challenge yet to the administration's policy.
