“Fear no man of any size, call on me and I’ll equalize.” —Common engraving on Frontier firearms

“Call me simple. Call me a redneck. Call me whatever the heck you wanna call me—but until we allow credible and licensed, proven and protective professors and students to carry a weapon (gun) on campus, we will see this murderous madness occur again and again and again.”

That paragraph was lifted from my April 21st, 2007 column from Townhall.com right after Cho Seung-Hui (or Seung-Hui Cho, however the heck you arrange his name) killed 32 students on Virginia Tech’s campus. Remember that?

As I easily predicted back in April 2007, here we are, less than a year later, being forced to watch (one more time) a bloody yet easily-remedied BS scenario from hades unfold upon our nation’s young people.

Last Thursday at Northern Illinois University, the now resident of hell, Stephen Kazmierczak, strolled into a class packed with 162 students and opened fire with a shotgun and three handguns, killing five students and wounding sixteen others and firing over 50 rounds before the toad killed himself (why can’t they start with suicide?).

Un-be-lievable.

The victims, Gayle Dubowski, 20, Catalina Garcia, 20, Julianna Gehant, 32, Ryanne Mace, 19, and Daniel Parmenter, 20, were accomplished students full of life, hopes and dreams that were cut down before they ever hit their stride. If that happened to one of my kids I would be gutted and extremely PO’ed that their campus had pretty much nothing in place to stop this kind of mayhem. No one was there to stop Kazmierczak. A prof or an “of age” licensed to carry student with a pistol probably could have.

The NIU slaughter—which was, by the way, one of 45 shootings (five this week) since 1996 that have occurred on campuses in the United States in “gun free zones”—will not be the last. The mass murderers among us have taken quite the shinin’ to shooting up our students at their schools. The principal reason is that it’s so easy for them to carry out their death wishes because university officials will not allow good guys with guns to carry in class and be an onsite deterrent to death-dealing dillweeds. Subject: Gun Free Zones
All of the recent mass shooting occured in "Gun Free Zones" area where firearms are not permitted either by law or by declaration of the property owner. The Mall in Omaha was posted as a gun free zone, schools are gun free zones. Those sign do not seem to deter a killer intent on mass killings. Gun free zones do keep people from defending themselves. Statistics prove that concealed weapons permit holders are less likely to violate laws and are less likely to commit a gun crime than are police. Any time that you enter a gun free zone be it a school, mall or any other area posted as a GFZ you are taking you life ito your own hands. I am responsible for my life, how I conduct it and how I defend it. I have a God given right to defend my life, we hold life precious, do we not? Why should I give up my right to defend myself or others from some loser intent on killing? Ask yourself, Would I rather have someone with a gun to help stop a killer or should I just resolve myself to die at the hands of a nut job? The arguments of missed shots killing others, arguments on school property resulting in gunfire, someone disarming a person carrying a weapon for self defense has not any merit, it has not happened. People using guns to stop crime HAS happened. When seconds count the police are only minutes away.

to your question MOTLEY CRUE
I know it because of the 9/11 call. Joe Horn was in own home. I intruders on the other house didn't see him or know that he's seen THEM. He went out and deliberately CONFRONTED the burglars, against the advisement of the 911 operator.
THAT'S what happened. Joe Horn also knew that his neighbors were NOT home, nor did they arrive as the burglars were there. There was no immenent personal danger.
Joe Horn acted irresponsibly and executed two people. The two people WERE criminals, and it's likely Horn won't get convicted. But what he did was wrong, and the wrong thing to do.
If you have to go out into the street to CONFRONT a criminal who doesn't even know you exist and can't threaten you until you do...then you're wrong.
