Kathryn Jean Lopez, editor of National Review Online, writes a weekly column of conservative political and social commentary for Newspaper Enterprise Association. An award-winning journalist and editor who has been praised for "editorial daring," Lopez has covered issues as diverse as the left-wing takeover of the Girl Scouts to the war on terror. She writes frequently on bioethics, religion, feminism, education, and congressional politics, among other topics.
As editor of National Review Online, Lopez oversees the web magazine's editorial content and operations. She can be read around-the-clock at NRO's weblog, "The Corner," where she is known as "K-Lo." Lopez also writes for National Review, the print magazine founded by William F. Buckley, Jr. She has interviewed scores of policymakers and cultural figures, including Donald Rumsfeld, Mel Gibson and Alan Dershowitz. Lopez's work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, New York Post and Washington Times, among many other publications internationally.

She is a weekly guest on the nationally syndicated "Hugh Hewitt Show" and a regular commentator and correspondent for Vatican Radio. Lopez graduated from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where she studied politics and philosophy. She lives in New York.
