Why did Republicans lose in the 2008 elections?

A mixture of snow and rain was expected to continue falling over regions of the West on Friday as a strong trough of low pressure dips across the Central Great Basin and the Central Rockies. Measurable amounts of snow were likely in parts of Wyoming and Montana.

Showers and thunderstorms were forecast along the Arizona-New Mexico border as moist air from Hurricane Norbert pushes into areas of the Southwest.

Stormy weather was again projected for the Southeast, particularly along the coastline.

Meanwhile, the Midwest and Northeast were expected to remain dry and warm as a ridge of high pressure builds over these regions.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Thursday ranged from a low of 6 degrees at Stanley, Idaho, to a high of 103 degrees at Death Valley, Calif.
