Senator Ted Cruz [R-TX] is giving New York low marks for its prosecution of former President Trump for allegedly paying to keep a former mistress from going public. In fact, Cruz says, the case is so weak on it’s legal merits it simply would not have been brought against anyone other than Donald Trump.  Cruz says a conviction would certainly be overturned on appeal, but that won’t come until after the election.

One million claims related to toxic exposure granted under new veterans law

President Biden is highlighting a milestone for a law that helps veterans who were exposed to toxins during their military service. Nearly two years ago, the president signed the PACT Act into law. And now, more than one million claims have been granted to veterans, providing about $5.7 billion in benefits given to veterans and their survivors. Speaking at a YMCA in New Hampshire, the president highlighted his legislative accomplishment as he thanked veterans and their families for the sacrifices they’ve made.

Most Evangelical Christians don’t think the label is political
VERBATIM:  According to a new poll from Gray Matter Research and Infinity Concepts, only two percent of Evangelicals say the term is defined by a specific set of political beliefs.  This despite the fact that the mainstream media uses Evangelical as exactly that:  The label for a particular segment of the U.S. electorate.  The survey also finds that more than one third of Evangelicals think the term is misused and another third aren’t really sure what it means.
