Low-Octane Gas Lighting – NBC NEWS

There is all sorts of outrage floating around after Caitlin Clark was drafted #1 in the WNBA draft and was reported to get a four-year deal for only $338,000. There is all manner of talk about a "fair wage" and comparisons to other salaries in the NBA. Last year's #1 pick in the men's league signed a $55 million deal. The Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry gets paid more for one game than Clark will make in four years.

But NBC, in making those comparisons, avoids using other side-by-side analytics. Want to know why the gals are paid so much less? Last season, the NBA took in $8 billion in revenue. The WNBA (subsidized by the NBA), saw revenue of only $60 million, while the league posted a loss like it has every year. If you want to use the phrase "a fair wage," then the ladies should be forced to pay in order to play, given that in 2023, the WNBA lost $12 million.

First Amendment Strike Force – NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO

  • This sounds like the truth and the facts are getting in the way!

The fallout continues at NPR as its new CEO, Katherine Maher, continues to become the focus of the issues at that outlet. While her hyper-liberal past is certainly enough to turn heads in the wake of the leftist operations being exposed by Uri Berliner, another disturbing nugget from Maher's past has surfaced.

She was tabbed to give a TED Talk some time ago, and in it, she explained how the truth is not always the best thing to adhere to when it comes to the agenda. Umm…I'm sorry, WHAT?!

Additionally, in another clip, we see Maher explaining that one of the biggest issues she has with battling misinformation is…get this…the First Amendment.

Anti-Social Media – NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO

  • Honestly, this appears to have been in the cards from the moment he submitted his column.

Barring any type of complete internal overhaul and a level of honesty with themselves never before realized, the fact that there has been complete resistance from those at NPR over his commentary, Uri Berliner has resigned from the network.

Body Checking the Fact-Checkers – POLITIFACT

It never fails to amuse when a fact-checking site faces a completely accurate statement, agrees with it, and then needs to alter the rating by incorporating outside data that does not accurately apply. PolitiFact tries to accuse "misleading" use of figures, as it misleads using figures.

The site takes on Senator Marco Rubio for saying President Joe Biden is inaccurate when he says inflation is down to 3% because due to compounding, that is a figure above previously raised prices. As a result, the true compounded inflation under Biden is closer to 19%. PolitiFact looks at the data, and then comes up with this assessment:

Inflation compounds and it has risen by about 19% over the past three years.

Ah, so Rubio was 100%, spot-on correct, right?

Nope. He is given a "Half True" measure. How so? Louis Jacobson tries to roll in wage increases since 2020 earnings have outpaced inflation. Except, to say this, he is measuring four years of wage increases off of the pandemic, against the last THREE years of inflation. So he uses a full year of wage increases under Trump to measure just the Biden inflation rate.

Democratic Custodial Services – THE ATLANTIC

  • The True Conservative™ strikes again!

It is clear that the last thing the Joe Biden campaign wants is its guy in front of live cameras being confronted with questions and challenged by an aggressive opponent. For this reason, the campaign has been telegraphing how it wants to find ways to justify avoiding a debate with Donald Trump.

We recently covered how the major networks have come together to send a written request for debates to be held. Well, you can count on David Frum to ride in and declare why this would be the wrong move, writing out the justification for the Biden campaign.
