Strong thunderstorms blew through parts of the Great Lakes on Saturday, producing damaging hail and strong winds. Thunder also boomed in the Plains and parts of the Southeast. Areas of the Northeast were rainy. The West remained dry, aside from some showers in Arizona and New Mexico.
