University of Ottawa Students Make a Big Error in Their Pro-Hamas Graffiti

AP Photo/Noah Berger, File

Most of these college kids don’t know what they’re protesting, so you can’t blame them. That video from New York University perfectly captures the typical left-wing activist. They want to protest—they just don’t know their ass from their elbow. The student in the clip can’t pinpoint what they’re rallying about, while the second student says, “I wish I was more educated.”

Now, we have this photo that some thought was from Columbia University. That was incorrect, but it doesn’t negate the hilarious error emblazoned on this piece of pro-Hamas graffiti. When you chant “free Palestine,” you might want to spell it correctly. The “free Palastine” image was featured in Mackelmore’s pro-Hamas music video. The phrase was written on the steps of Tabaret Hall at the University of Ottawa.

And, yes, they have a pro-Hamas sect causing chaos on campus there, as reported by the school’s newspaper:

May 1, 2024 marks the third day of student action at the University of Ottawa. Originally a one-day sit-in, the student encampment on Tabaret Lawn has grown in size, supplies and support since Monday, April 29th.

Organized by INSAF uOttawa and the Palestinian Students Association (PSA), with support from Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) Carleton, the goal of the encampment is for the University of Ottawa administration to fully divest from “any and all corporations involved directly and indirectly” involved in the genocide in Gaza, disclose their direct and indirect investments, and adopt the Arab Canadian Lawyers Association definition of Anti-Palestinian racism. They are also asking the university to sever ties with Israeli institutions, such as ending the exchange program with Tel Aviv University.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden finally realized that antisemitism was a bad thing and spoke against it. He’s only a few months too late, but that’s our president: consistently behind, laughably stupid, and hopelessly aloof. Some people wonder how we could be on the brink of a regional war in the Middle East. It’s not hard: Mr. Magoo took the wheel and crashed.

In the meantime, he reportedly stopped arms shipments to Israel without informing Congress. They’ll probably be reauthorized for a later date. Still, he needs to show the antisemites in his party that he can get rough with Israel, not thinking about the consequences these actions will have on our only democratic ally in the Middle East. Sounds like we have a real crackerjack at the helm, said no one.

Here's that NYU video, by the way:
